While we, in the northern hemisphere, experience more darkness in our still point tomorrow, the southern hemisphere has equally more light.
We often think all of the world, and reality, is what we are experiencing. The solstice reminds us that not everyone sees the same way. We need every perspective to bring this earth life to fruition. Expand your vision, look with more eyes than just your own.
[Solstice is about stillness, but not quite. The word itself means the point at which the sun seems to stand still, from two Latin words "sol" for sun, "sistere" to come to a stop.]

For the first time in 456 years, a total lunar eclipse (full moon) will coincide with the winter solstice. Energetically, this is about awareness of how fixed and closed perspectives can hinder us from seeing the truth. In reading several blogs on the astrological significance of this, I come back to this message...that no one can tell you what this event means for you, except you, but you need clarity and an open mind to process the information. The outward world is a reflection of our inner ones, and eclipses are no exceptions. Remember, that the significance of eclipses plays out way beyond the actual moment of the eclipse itself.
This wikipedia article gives the times for viewing, from 9:37pm PST on December 20, to full eclipse at 12:17 am on December 21.

Let's hope the cloudy forecast for Three Rivers parts long enough for us to view this with our own two eyes.
