Everything we need, and more, is already within us. The external world is only a reflection, where we celebrate and bloom.
We are constantly looking outside of ourselves to make everything just right. We sense something is missing in our lives, and we think it can only come from the outside. This misperception is the fuel behind greed, inequity, and even war.
*If you bring forth what is within you, what you have will save you.
If you do not have that within you, what you do not have within you [will] kill you.*

Measuring progress can actually impede your progress, especially if you compare yourself to others. Honor your uniqueness.
Society spends a lot of time, effort and money measuring people. It's not so good for the peope who don't measure up in one way or another. The hardest comparisons come from ourselves, as we assess ourselves based on how we think other people measure up.
When you find yourself engaged in this no-win situation, take a deep breath and step back. Remind yourself that you are the only you there is.
