Living our Soul's Life

I've been doing a lot of thinking (never sure about this word) about how we each live our lives through very limited filters....especially the one about how we only live one physical life (so short and confined to where we are born and how we are raised) and how, if we really understood the larger scope of our soul's life, we might live our present physical life just a bit differently.

The choreography of what has brought each of us to this exact moment of now, is so exquisitely designed, that if we could fully grasp this concept, we would literally have our breath taken away.

Our life-job description makes itself known by what appears in each moment, not by what we, or others, try to make happen.

We can all step up to the plate, by being our best, creative selves--just as we are--as life comes, just as it is. When we bring this fluid, inner-focused, and life-experienced self into every situation we face each day, then uncommon transformation can seem to appear out of nowhere.  It may even seem to happening by accident, but not so.

All human innovation and wonderfulness comes from our ability to be creatively present in the now. When we saturate our now moments with kindness for ourselves and others, the entire universe is lifted.

Once a week a big truck takes away our unwanted discards to a big pile. Not easy to do the same with old thought patterns.

We have created a kind-of bad habit of letting someone else deal with our unwanted stuff, now called trash. It just goes away. Out of sight, out of mind. Or is it? Just because we can't actually see something, it does not mean we are not still connected to it or don't have a community's repsonsibility to deal with it.

Not just talking trash here, but wondering about the metaphor of trash as a teacher to illuminate the need for transformation. How we think about things determines whether they are trash or treasure.

What we think determines just about everything in our lives. Expand your view.
